Most computers today are factory defaulted to 256 colors. This is not suitable for viewing full color images. To view the images on this site the best, you need to have your computer set to more than 256 colors. Thousands (16 bit) or millions (24 or 32 bit) colors will make your viewing experience vastly more enjoyable. This web site also looks it's best at 800 by 600 resolution or larger, because of the large detailed images. If you do not know how to change the color settings on your system the following guides will help you.
If you see the monitor icon in the taskbar, click on it and then select a better color depth and/or resolution.
Otherwise, go to the Start button,
Choose Settings
Choose Control Panel
Choose Display
Choose Settings
Go to the Apple menu at the upper left of the screen.
Choose Control Panels.
Choose the Monitors control panel. (In some versions of the Mac operating
system this control panel is called Monitors &
Sound.)
